My Day at Perfect Day at CocoCay: What I Loved & Tips Before You Go

I traveled on Utopia of the Seas, and honestly, it was one of the most fun weekends. One of the things I was most excited about was spending the day at Perfect Day at CocoCay, Royal Caribbean’s private island in the Bahamas.

You can get off the ship starting at 8:00 a.m. We arrived a little later, but from the moment you step off the ship, everything feels impressive, organized, and full of that vacation vibe that gets you excited right away.

We walked from the ship to the entrance and went straight to the adults-only area: Hideaway Beach. We found a spot to leave our things and went directly to the pool, where there was a live DJ, music, a show, and such a fun atmosphere. That’s when the day officially started.

This is another reason why I think the Royal Caribbean drink package is worth it, because drinks are also included at Hideaway Beach. So we spent the day enjoying the pool, drinks, music, games, and that feeling of not wanting the day to end.

One thing I really liked about Hideaway Beach is that it is not only about the party. The pool area definitely has a more energetic vibe, but Hideaway also has a beach area that felt much more relaxed and perfect if you want a quieter moment away from the pool scene.

If you are looking for something more private, there are also cabanas. They are much more exclusive, fit up to 8 people, and include food and drinks. They sell out super fast, so if you are interested, I would definitely recommend booking early.

Food is included both at Hideaway Beach and in the cabanas. At Hideaway, you can find options like pizza, chicken, coconut shrimp, and more, but my favorites were the empanadas. Honestly, I already want to go back just to eat them again.

Important to know: Hideaway Beach requires an additional day pass. Prices can vary depending on demand, the ship, and the day. General day passes can range from $32 to $119+ per person, though typical rates usually fall between $40 and $70 per person when booked in advance. My recommendation is to check the Royal Caribbean app and book early if you find a good price.

If you are wondering what is included at Perfect Day at CocoCay, it really depends on the area you choose. There are free areas on the island, including South Beach, which has a calmer and more family-friendly atmosphere. So if you do not want to pay extra for Hideaway Beach, South Beach can be a great option to enjoy the island in a more relaxed way.

CocoCay also has a water park for an additional cost, and you can walk around the shops if you want to buy souvenirs. Before leaving, I had to take some photos by the beach because the place was way too pretty not to save that memory.

Overall, if you are going on a Royal Caribbean cruise and stopping at Perfect Day at CocoCay, I think Hideaway Beach is totally worth it if you want music, drinks, pool time, and a fun adults-only vibe.
